ANIMAL RESEARCH AND ETHICS COMMITTEE ROTATION

ROTATION OF MEMBERS

1. Members will be appointed for 3-year terms and committee size will be 7-15 members. To preserve the continuity of the committee, rotations will be staggered so that no more than 3 members rotate off each year.
2. The committee membership will strive to represent the diversity of the RSA membership, with regard to research area, animal species used in their research, career level, underrepresented minority status, and gender. 
3. The Chair position also will rotate every 3 years. However, the Chair(s) will serve one additional year on the committee, as the past-Chair(s), to facilitate the transition in leadership. The new Chair(s) will be selected from within the current membership. Upon selection, the credentials of the Chair(s) will be communicated to the RSA President.
