MISSION STATEMENT
“The mission of the Education Committee is to address professional development needs of RSA members at all stages of their careers, with a particular focus on mentoring, networking, scientific presentation and grantsmanship.”
Roles and responsibilities:

Coordinate professional development activities at the annual meeting, including workshops.

Promote networking among junior members with student- and postdoc-specific events and through the meeting-mentor program.

Facilitate interactions between NIAAA staff with extramural trainees and faculty through events and workshops.

Manage the Gordis Award competition for excellence in scientific presentations by students and postdoctoral fellows.
